A very confusing part would be the items as all of it have been renamed and icons have been changed as well. This will take some learning curve to getting used to. One good improvement is the ability to buy the ingredients of the recipe easily by just clicking on the recipe, you can already buy the ingredients from there.
Characters: Totally different. Although characters have been borrowed from DOTA, the look and feel of using these characters as well as their respective abilities are not the same. I have tried to play the Gondar version in this game and there is a lot of getting used to especially the timings of using the character’s abilities.
Gaming Experience: I am playing against a bunch of players worldwide. There’s not much communication going on in the game, which is a downside. Without much communication from my experience, then a lot will be hanging on perception and insight to your teammates’ game and thoughts.
Overall, Heroes of Newerth is worth a try. If you feel like playing this game, then go ahead.
